2025 Our University’s Grand Haeorum Festival

A concerted performance by all colleges, a campus filled with the passion of youth

The 2025 Grand Haeorum Festival, hosted by Cheongju University’s 58th Student Council “The Fighting,” was successfully held on Tuesday, April 1 at the University Culture Plaza.

This year’s Haeorum Festival was a joint celebration with participation from all colleges across the university, where students from diverse majors and backgrounds came together to present a richer and more colorful stage. The festival officially began at 4 p.m. and was held under the clear spring skies, bringing vibrancy and energy to every corner of the campus.

At the event, stage performances of various genres such as dance, song, and musical instrument performances continued, and representative performance teams of each college performed high-quality stages and received a great response from the audience. The students responded and cheered with their friends close to the stage, and they could naturally feel a sense of belonging as a community.

In particular, the highlight of this year's Haeorum Festival was a generous prize lottery event. In the prize lottery held in the middle of the festival, the raffle featured a variety of prizes, including electronics, which drew great excitement and anticipation from the students. Students went beyond simply watching the performances and actively participated in the prize lottery, enjoying the festival even more. Laughter and cheers echoed from all over the place.

Many school officials also attended the Haeorum Festival, adding to the event's prestige. The president, faculty, and staff also attended the performances, supporting the students' enthusiasm. It became a direct reflection of Cheongju University’s culture, where communication and exchange are actively promoted, going beyond just academic administration to foster a student-centered environment.

Ha Seo-yeon, a student from the Department of Land Administration who participated in the 2025 Haeorum Festival, said, “Since the new semester has just started, there hasn't been much time for everyone to get to know each other, and the atmosphere can feel a bit stiff. But I think music and dance are great ways to break the ice and ease that tension. Through the excitement of enjoying the performances together, clapping, and cheering each other on, I think we were able to build a sense of camaraderie and belonging. In that sense, I believe having talent show stages like this is really meaningful and necessary. I also think that the Haeoreum Festival stage may be a good opportunity for students who want to show off their skills,” she said, adding that he hopes the festival will continue.

In addition, “The Haeoreum Festival is an event where freshmen and current students from various departments come together to enjoy the performances. Haeoreum Festival is probably the first university event for freshmen, and I think it's a good opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere of a university festival you've never attended before and to get close to new students inside and outside the department. She further added, "I believe that festivals like these help students feel a sense of belonging to the university and give them a chance to have fun with their friends.”

This year's Haeoreum Festival, where both freshmen and current students participated, went beyond a simple festival and established itself as a symbolic event to open a new semester at Cheongju University and heralded a vibrant campus culture that will continue throughout the year.

2025 우리 대학 총 해오름제

모든 단과대가 함께한 연합 공연, 청춘의 열기로 물든 캠퍼스

청주대학교 제58대 총학생회 ‘더 파이팅’이 주관한 2025 총 해오름제가 지난 4월 1일(화), 대학 문화광장에서 성황리에 개최되었다.

이번 해오름제는 모든 단과대학이 함께 참여한 연합 축제로, 다양한 전공과 배경의 학우들이 한데 어우러져 더욱 다채롭고 풍성한 무대를 선보였다. 오후 4시부터 본격적으로 시작된 축제는 화창한 봄 날씨 속에서 진행되어, 캠퍼스 곳곳에 생동감과 활기를 더했다.

행사에서는 춤, 노래, 악기 연주 등 다양한 장르의 무대 공연이 이어졌으며, 각 단과대 대표 공연팀들은 수준 높은 무대를 선보이며 관객들의 큰 호응을 얻었다. 학생들은 무대 가까이에서 친구들과 함께 호응하며 응원했고, 자연스럽게 하나의 공동체로서의 소속감을 느낄 수 있었다.

특히 이번 해오름제의 백미는 푸짐한 경품 추첨 이벤트였다. 축제 중간중간에 진행된 경품 추첨에서는 전자제품을 포함한 다양한 상품들이 걸려 학우들의 큰 기대를 모았다. 학생들은 단순한 관람을 넘어 경품 추첨에 참여하며 더욱 적극적으로 축제를 즐겼고, 곳곳에서 웃음과 환호가 터져 나왔다.

이번 해오름제에는 많은 학교 관계자들 또한 참석해 자리를 빛내 주었다. 총장과 교수진, 교직원들도 무대를 관람하며 학생들의 열정을 응원했고, 단순한 학사 운영을 넘어 학생 중심의 소통과 교류가 활발히 이루어지는 청주대학교의 문화를 직접적으로 보여주는 계기가 되었다.

이번 총 해오름제 축제에 참여한 지적학과 하서연 학생은 “아무래도 새 학기가 시작한 지 얼마 안 돼서 다들 친해질 시간이 부족하고 경직된 분위기일 텐데 노래나 춤이 그 분위기를 해소하는 좋은 수단이 된다고 생각합니다. 신나는 무대를 즐기고 다 같이 박수 치며 응원하는 과정을 통해 학우들 간 유대감을 쌓고 소속감을 느낄 수 있는거 같아요. 그런 의미에서 장기자랑 무대가 필요하다고 생각합니다. 또 본인 실력을 뽐내고 싶어 하는 학우들에게는 해오름제 무대가 좋은 기회가 될 수도 있다고 생각한다”라며 이러한 축제가 계속해서 이어졌으면 좋겠다고 답하였다.

또한 “해오름제는 여러 학과의 신입생과 재학생이 모여 무대를 즐기는 행사입니다. 아마 해오름제가 신입생들에게는 첫 대학 행사일 텐데, 처음 접하는 대학 축제 분위기를 즐길 수 있고 학과 내 외 재학생들과 신입생들이 친해질 수 있는 좋은 기회라고 생각합니다. 이러한 학교 축제들로 인해 학우들이 대학에 소속감을 느끼고 친구들과 즐겁게 놀 수 있는 기회가 된다고 생각 한다”라며 덧붙였다.

신입생과 재학생 모두가 참여한 이번 해오름제는 단순한 축제를 넘어, 청주대학교의 새로운 학기를 여는 상징적인 행사로 자리매김했으며, 다가올 한 해 동안 이어질 활기찬 캠퍼스 문화를 예고했다.
